Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving will be here in the blink of an eye! Thanksgiving is an annual national holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey. The holiday honors a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621, and is held in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. My favorite part of Thanksgiving is getting together with my family and eating a ton of delicious food! Traditional Thanksgiving food includes: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. My favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving is the turkey and my mother's homemade sweet potato pie. I cannot wait to see my relatives and eat a delicious Thanksgiving meal!

  1. Nice entry! Thanksgiving will be new to all ESL students. It's great if you can do some parts of the meal for your students. Some will not be able to celebrate it because of poverty or because their families don't know how to in their first couple of years.
